My pregnancy must-haves

Now nearing the end of my last trimester, I have found quite a few products I've deemed as my "must haves. If I had to do it all over again, I'd get these first!

1. The Snoogle

The snoogle is an awesome "maternity pillow" I actually just got one recently, and I definitely wish I would have had one sooner. It's bendable so it can adjust to your changing body while helping to support your back, hips and belly. I'll continue to use mine after giving birth so the ~$45 is worth it.

2. The Belly Band

I didn't start showing until late in my pregnancy (and I'm still sort of small). This little contraption saved me from buying all of those expensive maternity jeans! You simply wear your regular jeans unbuttoned (and unzippered if you want to go that way ;) ) You can fold the band up or down for added support. The brand of mine is the BeBand by Be Maternity and can be purchased at target.

3.  A heating pad

A heating pad helped so much with all my second trimester back pain. It was one of the only things that could lessen the pain. Plus, it sure warms up the bed in the winter time! Ask your doctor before using one, but you should be fine with it on the "warm" or "low" setting. Mine's from Walgreens.

4. Tums

This one is pretty self explanatory. I had/have such bad heartburn and these babies really help. I prefer the fruit kind, but the peppermint is more effective!

5. Bio-Oil

I've been using Bio-Oil since the start of my second trimester. It's supposed to be a miracle worker when it comes to stretch marks. I apply it every night to my tummy, hips and lower back. I haven't seen any stretch marks yet! -fingers crossed!-

6. Burt's Bees Mama Bee Belly Butter

Another recent purchase for me. When your skin stretches, it's really common for it to be come very itchy and uncomfortable. This stuff is awesome. It has shea butter and vitamin E oil (which also helps to prevent stretch marks) and my skin has never felt so soft.

7. Sea Bands

These were awesome for me at the start of my pregnancy. You wear them on one or both wrists and the pressure helps with morning sickness. I swear these were one of the only things that could get me out of bed in the morning. Definitely worth a shot if you have nausea! You can purchase these at Walgreens.

8. Preggie Pops

These are another thing that was awesome for morning sickness. Pop one in your mouth whenever you start to feel nauseous and these help! My favorite was the sour variety, they are super tasty! I've also heard these are good to help ease dry mouth during labor (but I haven't gotten there yet!) You can purchase these at Babies R Us, Motherhood Maternity or online.

9. A tumbler

This was seriously the best thing I've bought in a long time. I bought the largest size Starbucks offers (the treinta?) and it definitely helps up my water intake. Hydration is always super important, and even more so during pregnancy. I try to fill mine up 6+ times a day.

xoxo,
LovelyMama
